Niche Markets, Attraction Marketing and How To Use Them With Your MLM - Part 3
June 4, 2008
One of the hardest things I found in network marketing was how to show my downline that they could make a business out of my company’s products by using their list of 100 names or warm market. As we all know, it’s not easy – actually it’s probably downright impossible although there will always be those few who can do it.
From the raw recruit to the most senior distributor in your company their warm market will eventually run dry. Being told to go back to your list is one of the biggest turn-offs in network marketing today.
This is where Ann Sieg and her fabulous ebooks The 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing and The Renegade Network Marketer can help you enormously with building your network marketing business. Ann’s system of combining internet marketing, affiliate marketing and network marketing are a winning combination. If you haven’t got your copy yet – don’t delay – get it today!
Using niche marketing you can set yourself up as an innovative leader in your network marketing company by showing your downline how to utilise the internet to produce multiple streams of income.
You are not just presenting a business opportunity or really great products; you are also presenting a different and successful way to promote those products.
Throw away that list forever!
Back to our two examples – the travel business – everyone in your downline would have either a favourite holiday destination or maybe a dream destination that they are looking forward to visiting with the help of their bonus cheques from their business.
If they couldn’t think of a destination I’d probably, very gently, suggest they were in the wrong business, lol Your entire downline could have niche markets for travel destinations all over the world. I would be very surprised if there were any double-ups, if so, it must surely be a great place to visit, like Australia!
In the health and wellness sector, everyone has a favourite product. It may have helped them overcome a health issue or it is just a great product that works and they really love using it. This type of product nearly always has different demographics to target as outlined in Part 2.
Have an opt-in form on your website offering a free report or an ebook on say “The Best Ever Travel Tips” or “How You Can Get The Zing Back Into Your Life” – and, hey presto, you will start to build a list of people who are actually interested in what you have to say!
You will then be able to send them follow-up emails related to your particular niche market.
You could also promote other affiliate products on your site, such as travel products (luggage, books and CDs about your niche destination) or lifestyle products (exercise equipment, books and CDs on yoga, exercise, mediation, stress-management) and the list goes on.
The possibilities are only limited by your imagination. Let the creative juices flow!
Your upline, if they haven’t seen the light yet, will be absolutely gob-smacked by your innovation and success.
I hope this series has given you a few ideas on how you can market your business without using the old-fashioned methods of MLM.
What are your thoughts on niche marketing? Will any of the ideas I have suggested help you market your MLM products? Do you have any other niche marketing tips you would like to share? Please leave a comment - I’d love to hear from you!

Niche Markets, Attraction Marketing and How To Use Them With Your MLM - Part 1
May 22, 2008
One of the key factors of internet marketing is niche markets.
What is a niche market and how can I use it with my network marketing company?
It doesn’t matter whether your MLM company has one product or dozens in their range – you can make a niche market for it by thinking outside of the square.
Let’s look at two examples of network marketing companies – one a travel business and the other a health and wellness company.
The travel business – choose your favourite holiday destination in the world and make a niche market on it – at SiteBuildIt, Ken Evoy’s daughter has a wonderful website on Anguilla. Have a look at it and see how you could use something similar for your travel business.
For example – your initial content could be on –
• Why you love this destination so much
• What attracted you to it
• Your favourite sightseeing places, accommodation, cafes, restaurants, shopping, art galleries, night clubs and entertainment
Health and wellness products – choose your favourite product – be it an anti-oxidant, vitamin supplement, weight loss system, a cleansing lotion, nutritional drink, baby care products or hair care products – you get the idea.
Whatever you choose to promote in your niche market, make sure you write good generic content about it. Don’t push your specific product or MLM opportunity at your audience – it’s an instant turn off.
For example – if it’s a vitamin supplement you could research and write about –
• Why our diets are lacking in essential vitamins and minerals
• How the environment impacts on our health
• How our hectic lifestyles impact on our diet with highly processed foods and take-way foods
• Why people have more allergies and sensitivities to foods than say 20 years ago.
Make sure what you write is in your own words and “voice”. Personalise it with your own story. You become the authority in your niche market.
That should give you a few ideas to think about.
In Part 2 I will look at how to make niche markets within niche markets and how this will benefit, not only your business, but your downline.
