Renegade Basic Guide - Step 2

Setting Up a Web Hosting Account

This is Step 2 in an 8 Step Guide to setting up your internet marketing system.  Step 1 showed how to purchase a domain name and set up an account with Godaddy.  Step 2 is how to set up a web hosting account with Hostgator.

A web host is where all of your website information is stored.  Web hosts have servers which store all this information.  Therefore, the number one priority when looking for a web host is reliability.  Their servers need to be reliable and available at all times.  Look for providers who guarantee their service 99.99% of the time.

Be careful of “free” web hosting – remember the old saying “You get what you pay for” and reliability is not one of their strong points.

You want your website to be available 24/7 – you don’t want to lose leads or customers by having your website unavailable or slow to load.  Market researchers suggest we have 7-9 seconds to grab our prospects attention when surfing the net – so do a little research when deciding on a web host.

Hostgator is one of my web host providers and I find their service to be excellent.  Read more on Hostgator.
